Kenny Scharf says about this work, “This lithograph is happening, it’s at the very beginning, right now, and it’s called In The Beginning. I’m really happy with the result, it’s great. I’m depicting emotions rather than making faces. When people ask, ‘What is this? Can you explain it to me?’, I always like to answer, ‘What do you think it is?’ That’s more interesting to me. I create the character, and people create the story line. I can learn from them, and it makes them look at it and think about it. Sometimes they say really cool things. I like that.”
