Who’s BAMBI? As with the now highly traded street art artist BANKSY, the real person behind the pseudonym BAMBI is unknown. In any case, she is female and one suspects a famous personality from show business.

BAMBI Street Artist is the stage name of the anonymous London street artist known for her huge stencil and spray paint works. The name comes from her nickname “Bambino” from her childhood when she started marking in London. Trained in Central Saint Martins, her street work can now be found throughout Central London and in the London boroughs of Islington and Camden.
Originally hailed by David Dimbleby as “the female Banksy”, Bambi has developed into her own unique kind of artist provocateur, using wit and irony to address issues such as feminism, street violence, political injustice and popular culture. She often creates stencils of well-known contemporary personalities to make trenchant social and political comments. She has created highly visible and public murals depicting the Royal Family, Amy Winehouse, David Beckham and Ai Wei Wei. Her work is a brutal reflection of current events and contemporary icons.
Recently BAMBI Street Artist received international recognition for her work entitled Lie Lie Land, in which Theresa May and Donald Trump dance in the pose made famous by the film La La Land.
Bambi’s work has received much attention in the press, including coverage by the Guardian, Huffington Post, Daily Mail, the Evening Standard, and others. BAMBI Street Artist produces a limited number of canvases and stencil prints in small runs for the art market. Her sales are constantly setting new records and canvases are already reaching 6-digit prices. Her work is collected by celebrities such as Adele, Robbie Williams, Rihanna, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, Robbie Williams, Kim Kardashian and others.
At GALERIE FRANK FLUEGEL the exhibition “BAMBI Street Artist meets Mr. Brainwash” took place from 27.09.2013 – 15.11.2013.
