Elizabeth Peyton, one of the most recognized artists of her generation derived her lithograph Colin from her 1998 full-color portrait titled "Silver Colin." She transforms color into graphic, placing the viewer in a new visual relationship between portraitist and model. Peyton is inspired by the enigmatic pictorial language of Alex Katz.
