Russel Young is an English artist (*1959) who works today with iconic silkscreen prints with portraits of celebrities, emulating Andy Warhol’s printing style. His „anti-celebrity“ portraits are a reaction of his former life. Russel Young began his carreer as a celeb photographer and had his breakthrough with the shooting for George Micheal’s album Faith.
Russel Young describes his work as a soundtrack to his own life experiences. His method is to search, destroy and recreate. This attitude is visible in all of the images of Russel Young.« Back
